Rystad Energy is recruiting for an E&P analyst to be based out of our Beijing office to strengthen our growing E&P analyst team globally. The E&P analyst team is responsible for maintaining an d developing our databases an d products within the E&P space. The role primarily covers the E&P space an d requires researching an d analyzing data using our bottom-up approach an d presenting insights an d findings to our clients. This will give you a deep understanding of the regional an d global upstream industry, an d you will work in close collaboration with our consultants an d business developers.
We are seeking an ambitious an d motivated candidate with a strong academic record of accomplishment, an analytical mindset, good communication skills an d strong interest for the oil an d gas market.
The Role
•Close tracking an d analyzing of E&P companies’ activities an d projects, an d ensure they are accurately reflected in Rystad Energy’s product suites
•Perform independent commercial evaluations of upstream assets
•Contribute to an d write client commentaries an d reports with good proficiency
•Participate in external an d internal presentations
•Develop an d maintain a strong network of industry contacts
•Contribute to business development, sales an d support Client Analyst team with client support
•Engage with clients to demonstrate our research an d analyses
•Travel required when needed for research trips, client engagement, an d business development support
Requirements, Experience & Skills
•Only candidates with China working permit Ｏr visas will be considered
•Minimum 2 years of working experience with a good knowledge of the upstream oil an d gas sector in China, through direct experience in either an upstream research, E&P Ｏr OFS companies
•University degree in a data driven Ｏr energy related field such as mathematics, engineering, Ｏr economics （Distinction an d above preferable）
•Solid analytical an d problem-solving skills with a hands-on attitude
•Proven ability to handle an d process large data sets an d information from multiple sources both quanitatively an d qualtitatively
•Strong networking an d relationship building skills
•Good command of spoken an d written Chinese an d English （strongly preferred） an d able to demonstrate good writing skills
•Solid proficiency in Excel an d Power Point
